As part of our ongoing mission to strengthen our International relationships, earlier in the year Thomas Mitchell Primary School hosted 2 wonderful Indonesian teachers for one week. Bu Mira and Bu Jenny are both teachers from Indonesia (Maba – North Maluku and Bandung – West Java) and they experienced what everyday life is like at Thomas Mitchell Primary School. They attended classes, meetings, assemblies and even had a go at teaching some Indonesian songs to enrich the LOTE program at TMPS. Bu Mira and Bu Jenny stayed with a host family and enjoyed many family dinners, indulged in Vegemite toast and lamingtons, and had a ride on Puffing Billy. It was a wonderful learning experience for all involved!
