World’s Largest Lesson – Year 1

On Wednesday the 20th of September at exactly 12.00pm, all of the Year 1 students took part in the ‘World’s Largest Lesson’. The Year 1 team decided to all deliver the same lesson at the same time. The WALT (We Are Learning To) for the session was to understand the impact that fleeing from a desperate situation would have on someone’s life and to empathise with situations that others find themselves in.

Students had 5 minutes to draw items they would take with them on a nice and relaxing holiday. Then students had to draw things they would pack in a separate suitcase, for if they had to leave their homes FOREVER. Students then compared and discussed what was similar and different in their suitcases and why. Below are some photos of students’ work samples…qrtw
