During our Reading sessions, the Year 4s are exploring, investigating and learning how to perform a Readers Theatre. The students are having a great time developing their cooperation, reading, speaking and listening skills as we go. During this week, 4CM looked at two different reader’s theatre plays that connected to International Education. One group studied, rehearsed and performed an Ancient Greek Myth called Athena and Arachne (How the Spiders came to be) and the other group looked at an Aboriginal Dreamtime story called Tiddalik the Enormous Frog. Both plays generate much discussion about ancient cultural beliefs from around the world.
