The Year 4 students have completed a unit on interpreting graphs, collecting data by conducting a survey and using that data to great a bar graph. They were given the opportunity to collect data using their own class as a sample group. Students were encouraged to think of a survey question that investigated the many cultures represented within the class. Thomas Mitchell is so special because of its diversity! The students asked questions such as: What continent is your family background from? What is your favourite cultural food? Where in the world would you like to go next? The Year 4 students were very enthusiastic with their investigation and represented their research in a bar graph. 4OB further celebrated the class’ multiculturalism by plotting their faces all over the class map!
