Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs Program

As part of our recycling program, Thomas Mitchell Primary School is now collection bread tags for the Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs Program. This program began in South Africa to raise money for money for people in need of wheel chairs and has now been set up in Australia.

During term 2, as a total our school collected 3540. As a result these bread tags will not be going to land fill, they will be recycled and made into such items as door knobs and seedlings trays.

The class who collected the largest amount was 4SP with 1006. Well done.

To celebrate their collection, they will be baking their own homemade bread during this term.

We are going to continue collecting bread tags this term, let’s see if we can beat our Term 2 collection.
